BIARTEA, The Handicraft Association of Bizkaia, was founded in 1992 as a non-profit-making professional organization of the handicraft workshops of Bizkaia.

Aims:
·  To publicize the handicrafts of the region.
· To raise the quality of the items produced.
· To promote the creation of networks and steps for their commercialization.
· To further collaboration and interchange of information among centres.
· To provide members with advice and further training.
